The Onu-Ogwu Atta insists that the current attention given to the issue of local government autonomy is not good enough, knowing that the bulk of the Nigerian population is located within the local areas and that every single Nigerian resides within the confines of a local government, adding that speedy human and capital development will unarguably be fostered if the local councils are eventually granted financial autonomy.

The Civil Society Activist cum Social Crusader however frowns at the spate of killings that have gone on unabated in States of Benue, Taraba, Plateau, Sokoto, Borno, Yobe, Zamfara and the others, urging the Federal government to heighten its priority on the security of lives and property.

He vows to resolutely ensure that the Igala/Bassa ethnic nationalities take their rightful place among the comity of ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. He laments that the Igala nation, despite her massive population and landmass, cannot boast of her own State in this country. That, he says, is an aberration that should be corrected. He however vows to be duty-bound to confront the anomaly headlong if given the mandate as Senator from Kogi East.
He also vows to vehemently push the myriad of predicaments bedeviling our people to the national frontier where the district has hitherto been deficient of passionate men to do so.”

Comrade Edime therefore assures that Kogi East will be in for an effective and efficient representation and that he will muscle up his last ounce of strength humanly needed to exhume our people from the dungeon of poverty, insecurity, disease, unemployment and general backwardness.
